So I need bus fare.

I’m running for the RTD Board of Directors, to represent central Denver (District A). I rely on RTD to get around, and I’m running to help them fix what we all know isn’t working as well as it should.

Every day, I hear stories of friends whose buses just don’t show up, whose trains are 30 or 40 minutes late. No one with a job or kids to pick up can rely on that.

This isn’t the fault of any one person, it’s simply a lack of institutional focus. I’m going to work with the rest of the board to change that, to get RTD focused on the basics: reliability, safety, and equity.

But I need your help: I need bus fare, because I can’t get where I’m going without it. Starting next year that’s $5.50 for a day pass, so that’s my ask of you. If you can contribute more, that would be amazing. But I need everyone who cares about getting our transit system working again to help me make that possible.
